I of course made a quilt for baby Claira. I love the name by the way!! Here is the quilt.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmexs4C7Nij1fnlhmKjJIRhiQVGTvCvG07ll5UFrH2E6HG3_ryH9vBHCimtMGlgZiSSRUQd2wEUsENqRgbN41JRdJpBpNnvkNZcVaY8auu8NxktXnJCWq6pGQSi0gOIldyO9QY2ircVYnB/s1600/IMG_0176.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear:left; float:left;margin-right:1em; margin-bottom:1em"><img border="0" height="284" width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmexs4C7Nij1fnlhmKjJIRhiQVGTvCvG07ll5UFrH2E6HG3_ryH9vBHCimtMGlgZiSSRUQd2wEUsENqRgbN41JRdJpBpNnvkNZcVaY8auu8NxktXnJCWq6pGQSi0gOIldyO9QY2ircVYnB/s400/IMG_0176.JPG" /></a></div>The pattern is a disappearing nine patch (one of my favorite patterns) and the material is from scraps that I had. I love the bright colors and the way it turned out.<br />
<br />
I also made her quilt for her crib. This is only the second dresden plate pattern that I have done. I love the way it turned out. What do you think?<br />

Every year, we coordinate clothes on Easter with myself and children. I made flowers for my 3 daughters to wear in their hair. I am pretty pleased with the way they came out. I was even asked by someone if I sell them. Hmmm...maybe I should start. To completely understand this quilt, you need to understand the story behind it. <br />
<br />
Last year when I talked to my son at Christmas, he mentioned that he was sleeping with 2 half blankets. One across his legs and the other across his torso. He is 6'3" by the way. I of course asked if he would like to have a quilt and he said that it'd be nice. So I started right away making a quilt for him. It had to be manly and to find a pattern and fabric that was manly was not an easy task. I was finally able to find one I liked <a href="http://www.quiltville.com/bricksandstones.shtml">here.</a> Then it was off to find the fabric. I started collecting greens and browns and it finally came together. The entire time I was working on it, I told myself I was making him a "whole" quilt and so the name of this quilt naturally became <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKzzveOnoZdq6mj1sxbehE2Z9v6-BWjky8imHLpIOX8T2VmUeLO-fzIAA5O3cAJl0IpTPtSO4yx5S89HHZTqA22GHM0WpSjTlKX5ZnW7mPvTqIqKCqYQBlV0eug5_dgINjh7JfBCs5DGZR/s1600/JJ+quilt+label.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear:left; float:left;margin-right:1em; margin-bottom:1em"><img border="0" height="267" width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKzzveOnoZdq6mj1sxbehE2Z9v6-BWjky8imHLpIOX8T2VmUeLO-fzIAA5O3cAJl0IpTPtSO4yx5S89HHZTqA22GHM0WpSjTlKX5ZnW7mPvTqIqKCqYQBlV0eug5_dgINjh7JfBCs5DGZR/s400/JJ+quilt+label.jpg" /></a></div>I loved working on it and thinking that he is sleeping under it. It may be crazy, but the mom in me thinks of it a little bit of home for him. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijvhHA-rKi5eZKUYu4TFbhhA0GQnzaxsCIjoauTUc4iFchELTBqwdnIMcLlMTbM5BTJNNnco0eUILJS27G9mEzkvVnehaGx0RcWECWnjyl1ndyKV96Sg8s_2EjjLkG4ntDAUCGyB_SBOPh/s1600/JJ+quilt+back.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear:left; float:left;margin-right:1em; margin-bottom:1em"><img border="0" height="267" width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijvhHA-rKi5eZKUYu4TFbhhA0GQnzaxsCIjoauTUc4iFchELTBqwdnIMcLlMTbM5BTJNNnco0eUILJS27G9mEzkvVnehaGx0RcWECWnjyl1ndyKV96Sg8s_2EjjLkG4ntDAUCGyB_SBOPh/s400/JJ+quilt+back.jpg" /></a></div><br />
Here is the back of it. I didn't want to buy more fabric for it, so I used the scraps to make the back<br />

I made this memory board last year for my 14 year old daughter's birthday. She absolutely loves it and it was fun to make. I used <a href="http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/08/eva-patchwork-memo-board.html#more">this</a> pattern.
